Our Facilities and Support Staff
Wagners is located on the 3rd floor of Pontac House in Historic Properties in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We are conveniently situated beside the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia on Upper Water Street with full access to the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Library. The Barristers’ Library contains complete sets of the most common caselaw reports and these are essential in ensuring that all of your legal research projects are complete and up to date.
The firm has fully integrated computers into the practice with access to QuickLaw, Carswell and the Internet to assist our lawyers and articled clerks with their legal research needs.
The firm also provides a full range of paralegal, legal assistant, accounting and other support staff services. All legal assistants and lawyers are connected to a computer network which facilitates the sharing of data. Our goal is to keep up to date in office technology in order to maximize the productivity of our professional staff.
Meet the Support Staff to Our Halifax Lawyers
Elizabeth joined the Wagners team in 2018. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dalhousie University and received her Paralegal Diploma from Eastern College.
She works with the Motor Vehicle Accident and Occupiers liability team as a paralegal to Lisa Wagner & Liam O’Reilly.
Outside of work she enjoys sailing, going on adventures and spending time with friends and family.
Dayna joined the Wagners team in February 2017. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, with a focus on the area of Restorative Justice practices, in 2014 from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, B.C. She went on to receive her Paralegal Diploma from Maritime Business College in 2017.
Dayna is assistant to Ray Wagner, Maddy Carter and Kate Boyle in the practice area of class actions, but also has experience working in the area of Motor Vehicle Accidents and Occupier Liability cases.
Outside of work, Dayna enjoys visiting her hometown of Victoria, B.C. and spending time with her family exploring various communities across Nova Scotia.
Cassandra received her Paralegal Diploma from Eastern College in 2016 and joined the Wagners team in 2018. Cassandra works with the Motor Vehicle Accident and Occupiers liability team as a paralegal to Loreatha Boehner. Outside of work Cassandra enjoys reading, playing board games with her family and friends and spending time with her dog, Rwby.
Amber joined the Wagners’ team in September 2016. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Dalhousie University and received her Paralegal Diploma from Maritime Business College.
Amber is an assistant to Ray Wagner and Kate Boyle in the area of Medical Malpractice. In addition to her role as a Paralegal, she assists with the accounting practices of the firm.
In her spare time, Amber enjoys baking and visiting her family’s farm in the Annapolis Valley.

Kelly joined Wagners team on January 2, 2006 in the capacity of Legal Analyst. Prior to joining our team, Kelly had an esteemed 20 plus year career in the insurance industry.
Through her time with Wagners, Kelly has worked closely with many of the lawyers in the areas of Motor Vehicle Accidents, Occupier Liability Claims and Medical Malpractice cases. She has participated in settlement meetings, Settlement Conferences and Mediations with the lawyers. Kelly specializes in Section B claims, assisting the clients and working with the adjusters and lawyers to ensure our clients receive the entitled benefits under the automobile policy. She prides herself on her ability to multitask and in providing Wagners clients and lawyers alike with any assistance needed.
In her off hours, Kelly enjoys cooking, reading, sewing, jigsaw puzzles, spending time with family and friend and especially enjoys her fur babies.

Mark joined Wagners as an Articled Clerk in August of 2018 with our motor vehicle and slip and fall team.
Born and raised in Halifax, Mark obtained his law degree from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie. While in law school, Mark received academic scholarships in all three years of his studies. Mark also spent his spare time volunteering with both the Tenants’ Rights Project through the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic and with a local NGO promoting access to democracy in developing countries. He also worked as a research assistant during his time at Dalhousie.
Mark is dedicated to helping victims of negligence and is proud to work on behalf of members of our community.

Katheryn has been a part of the Wagner family since 1998. Over the years her roles have evolved and changed.
She currently lends her experience to helping with administrative duties, assists incoming clients and visitors to the office as well as making sure the office runs smoothly with the day to day tasks that are thrown her way.
The legal field and helping others have always been a passion for her, and was at one time a volunteer at the Mount Uniacke RCMP Community office.
When not at work, Katheryn can be found on a local golf course with her husband, or jetting off to the next great golf vacation to far off lands, always in search of that elusive hole-in-one.
Krizia joined the Wagners team in December of 2015. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Sociology from Dalhousie University and received her Paralegal Diploma from Eastern College.
Krizia is an assistant to Ray Wagner and Kate Boyle in the area of Medical Malpractice.
Outside of work Krizia enjoys traveling and finding her favourite new restaurants around Nova Scotia.
Andrea Ault-MacLean joined Wagners in September 2010, following completion of the Paralegal program at Success College. She works with the Motor Vehicle Accident and Occupiers liability team as a paralegal to Lyndsay Jardine. In addition to her role as a litigation paralegal, she works on Wagners’ social media platforms.
Class Action Paralegal, IT Systems ManagerREAD MORE
Victor Lewin joined Wagners in April 2005. He is lead paralegal to Mr. Wagner in his class action litigation practice, fulfilling that role for more than ten years. Mr. Lewin’s experience in the complex area of insurance litigation allowed him to easily transition to meet the demands of Mr. Wagner’s exclusive plaintiff oriented practice. He provides dedicated support to Mr. Wagner and manages over 20 class proceedings. Mr. Lewin is a member of the Canadian Association of Paralegals.
In addition to his role as class action litigation paralegal, Mr. Lewin also maintains Wagners’ networking and computer infrastructure in his capacity as the Systems Administrator and Network Specialist at the firm.
Mr. Lewin also is involved in the design of various ads, graphics and other materials of a marketing nature for the firm. He also is skilled in accounting and supports the firm’s regular accountant as necessary.
Melissa graduated from Mount Allison University in 2005 with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She went on to earn her paralegal diploma from Maritime Business College in 2008 at which time she joined Wagners. To date, Melissa has worked with many of our lawyers assisting in the areas of Medical Malpractice, Motor Vehicle Accidents and Occupier Liability cases. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys fitness and spending time with family.

Richard has been a member of the Wagners’ team since 2009.
In addition, Richard oversees Wagners’ accounts payable responsibilities, administers payroll, and operates as the firm’s office manager.
In his spare time, Richard enjoys spending time with his family.
Julie has been a dedicated employee of Wagners since 1998. Through her tenure, she has worked in all areas of law practised at Wagners.
Julie is an accomplished member of the motor vehicle/occupiers team. Through Wagners, Julie has given much of her time sponsoring Big Brothers/Big Sisters Bowl for Kid Sake and feels very strongly for this cause.
When she’s not at the office, Julie can be found spending time with her son or cozied-up with a good book.
